About Karen Porter
Author/Speaker Karen Porter is a national retreat and seminar speaker, the author/co-author of six books, and a successful businesswoman.
Her newest book project, released by Random House/Multnomah publishers, is “I’ll Bring the Chocolate: Satisfying a Woman’s Cravings for Friendship and Faith.”
Karen is a frequent guest on regional and national radio and TV programs. She contributes to national magazines such as Focus on the Family, Discipleship Journal, and American Taste. She has also written curriculum for Lifeway Resources. Her previous books were published with Starburst Publishers and Jubilant Press.
Business/Professional Karen served as Vice President of International Marketing of a major food company in Texas for more than 30 years. In that position she traveled around the world and her varied experiences (including dinner with Fidel Castro) contribute to the richness and depth of her writing and speaking.
Karen founded kae creative solutions a communications consulting firm. Services include: concept, creation, and copy for corporations including annual reports, ad copy, direct mail, and marketing materials. She also provides coaching for aspiring writers and speakers.
Trainer/Mentoring Ministry Karen serves on the national teaching staff for C.L.A.S.S.-the nation’s premiere trainer of Christian leaders and speakers. She also serves on the board of Right to the Heart Ministries and the national teaching staff of Women Who Minister to Women Regional and National Conferences.
Personal Karen says her marriage to George is her greatest achievement, but she’d love to talk to you about her five grandchildren! Karen is a people person, plain and simple and you are going to love to laugh with her and maybe even cry a little as she shares her joys and struggles.
